Industry codes and standards recognize deflagration venting as an effective means of building and equipment explosion protection. When properly designed, these venting systems will activate during a deflagration event before the enclosure pressure rises to damaging levels.

PLC has been an active member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Technical Committee on Deflagration Venting since 1988 and has spent decades developing an understanding of deflagration dynamics and the requirements for building and equipment protection.
