Hiring Engineering Sales Representative (Canada)
Role Description
- Lead the sale of engineering services to potential clients, utilizing various methods and technologies.
Corporate Responsibilities
- Communicate the benefits of PLC services to potential clients in order to develop and manage client relations and drive sales;
- Solicit new clients through various channels;
- Work with technical staff to assess and develop new client relationships;
- Schedule and organize meetings (in-person and video conference) between clients and technical staff;
- Prepare presentations to explain PLC services and applications;
- Travel to meet prospective and new clientele;
- Prepare proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs or other client requests with the assistance of the appropriate technical resources;
- Complete assessments (sector, geographic, etc.) to determine potential sales opportunities; and
- Track sales metrics.
- Provide input into marketing materials where they are to be tailored to suit the client’s needs;
- Where necessary, assist the Administration Manager in the collection of invoices (Accounts Receivable);
- Establish and maintains positive client relationships to ensure client satisfaction;
- Assess tender provider sites to ensure opportunities related to PLC service lines are directed to PLC management;
- Regularly review tender opportunities;
- Review tender package with Senior Management and Technical Leads as it relates to scope and client expectations prior to submittal of proposals;
- Coordinate sales efforts with team members and Senior Management;
- Provide management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new service lines, markets or sectors;
- Utilize PLC’s CRM software to manage client relationships and maintain client files documenting all communication and other activities with clients and potential clients;
- Demonstrate courtesy and professionalism with all team members and clients;
- Ensure sales are conducted in compliance with all company values, policies and procedures; and
- Perform ad-hoc projects as directed by the VP Business Development.
Accountability:
- Accountable for meeting established sales targets and other KPIs.
Education and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, sales engineering, management engineering, or related fields;
- Familiar with CRM, BRM or ERP; and
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Office, SharePoint, Teams).
Experience:
- 3+ years of sales experience;
- Fire Protection industry experience with some technical knowledge;
- Should be an active member of industry associations; and
- Experience in business planning and monitoring.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Valid Drivers Licence, travel to meet prospective and new clientele is required.
- Literacy skills, be able to read, write and communicate proficiently in English.

Hiring Fire Protection Specialist (Engineer/Architect Positions) for Winnipeg (Manitoba, Canada)

Experience:
- 10+ years fire protection engineering experience, with a focus on code consulting, or Architectural experience with extensive code consulting knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of Canadian national and provincial building and fire codes
- Extensive client relationship management during the various stages of a project (code review, design, construction, commissioning, AHJ interface)
- An active member of fire protection or other industry-based organization
Education:
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Applied Science
- Professional Engineer certification or Registered Member of MAA or equivalent
Skills
- Proficient and efficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
- Project management experience
- Time management skills
- Communication skills
- Team player
- Ability to quickly learn and apply newly acquired skills
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Valid Drivers Licence, onsite work is required on project sites.
